As we move into the summer season, eyes are on the Conservative leadership/Prime Minister election to see if this will give any clarity and direction on Brexit. Although we are a small firm based in Cheltenham, having a national client base means we have seen the impact of the Brexit uncertainty via the type of work we have been dealing with and there is no sign of a slowdown.
For example, whereas last year was a record year for business sale advice and transactions, with the current uncertainty it is now more about shareholder exits. For those shareholders who wish to exit, Harbour Key are advising on how these exits should take place and most appropriate funding arrangements.
We have also been advising a number of clients, on leaving the UK (mainly City workers) who have been relocated to Europe as businesses implement their Brexit planning.
